Beatkeep Privacy Policy

Beatkeep ("the app") is a metronome and practice log provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). Beatkeep has no account system, no login, no server and no cloud storage operated by us. Your practice sessions, presets and settings are stored on your phone.

Data stored on your device

Your practice sessions (start time, length, tempo range, time signature), saved presets, speed trainer settings, reminder time and app preferences are stored only on your device in the app's private storage. We do not receive this data.

There is no sign-up or login. Uninstalling the app deletes this data. Android's standard device backup may include app data in your own Google account backup if you have enabled it; that backup is controlled by you and Google.

Permissions

• Notifications — to show the playback controls while the metronome runs and the optional daily practice reminder. You can decline and grant it later in device settings.
• Foreground service (media playback) — so the click keeps playing steadily when the screen is off or you switch to a sheet-music or video app.
• Run at startup — so the practice reminder is re-scheduled after your phone restarts.
• Vibrate — for the optional vibrating beat and reminders.
• Internet / network state — used by the advertising SDK described below.

Beatkeep does not request microphone, location, contacts, camera, phone or storage permissions. The app itself does not send your practice records off your device.

Information collected automatically by advertising

The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect and share with Google, as a third party, the following for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention:

• Device or other identifiers, such as the Advertising ID
• Approximate location derived from your IP address
• App interactions (for example ad impressions and clicks, session activity)
• Crash logs and diagnostics

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app shows a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized ads are used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can delete any practice session or preset in the app at any time, and uninstalling removes all app data on your device. Because we hold no data about you on our side, there is nothing for us to delete; ad-related choices are available through the consent form and your device's ad settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
