Cellsense Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-09-15

Cellsense ("the app") is a battery health and charging speed checker provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). Cellsense is a local-only app: it has no account system, no login, no server, and no cloud storage operated by us.

Battery readings stay on your device

The app reads battery information that Android already provides to every app (battery level, charging status, temperature, voltage, charging current and charge counter). It reads these values only while the app or its home screen widget is being shown; it does not run a background service.

Charging speed test results, the charger names you type, and battery capacity estimates are stored only on your device. We never upload, collect, sell, or share them. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes them.

If you use Share, the text you chose to share is delivered only to the destination you explicitly pick.

Information collected automatically

Certain information may be collected automatically by the third-party advertising SDK used in the app. This may include:

This information is processed by the advertising provider described below and is never linked to your battery readings or charger names.

Advertising

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, and the Advertising ID and the information above are collected and shared with Google (a third party) for that purpose. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown instead. You can reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads), and you can change your consent choice from the app's Settings screen.

For more information on how Google uses data when you use partners' apps, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Notifications

Daily battery check-in reminders are shown locally on your device using the Android notification system. No push notification service is used. You can turn them off in the app's Settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because your battery readings exist only on your device, you are in direct control of them. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA in California), you may also have rights regarding data processed by advertising SDKs; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings described above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
