Chorebit Privacy Policy

Chorebit ("the app") is a shared chores checklist provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). Chorebit is a local-only app: there is no account, no login, no server and no cloud storage operated by us. Your lists never reach us, and the app does not sync between phones.

Data stored on your device

Everything you enter is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage:

• Your lists and the tasks in them, including due dates, repeat settings and whether a task is done
• The two names you enter so tasks can show who took what
• App settings (sort order, hiding completed tasks, theme, widget text size and opacity, reminder settings)

We never receive this data and cannot see it. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. Android's standard app backup may include it in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

The names you type are labels for your own list. They are not used for advertising and are never shared with the advertising SDK, with us, or with anyone else.

Permissions

• Notifications — optional, for due reminders and a couple of daily nudges. Everything else works if you decline.
• Run at startup — so reminders survive a restart of your phone.
• Internet / network state / advertising ID — used only by the advertising SDK described below. The checklist itself works fully offline.

Chorebit does not request location, camera, contacts, microphone, phone, SMS, calendar or storage permissions.

Sharing

When you tap share, the app builds a text summary of your list on your device and hands it to the app you choose in Android's share sheet. Nothing is sent unless you choose to share it.

Information collected automatically

Third-party advertising SDKs may automatically collect:

• Your device's IP address
• Your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID)
• App usage events such as session time and screens viewed
• Operating system and device model

Advertising

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob and its partners may access your device's Advertising ID and the information above; this data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising purposes. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads) and change your consent choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings").

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No push notification service is used. You can turn them off at any time in Settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Your data exists only on your device, so you are in direct control: you can delete tasks and lists in the app, or uninstall it to remove everything. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) you may have rights regarding data processed by advertising SDKs, which you can exercise through the consent form and your device's ad settings. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing on our side to delete.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
