Daystrip Privacy Policy

Daystrip ("the app") is a daily planner that lays out your tasks on a timeline, provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). Daystrip is a local-only app: it has no account system, no login, no server, and no cloud storage operated by us.

Your plans stay on your device

Your tasks, times, repeat rules, notes, inbox items, completion history and settings (such as your wake-up and bedtime) are stored only on your device. We never upload, collect, sell, or share them, and we cannot recover them for you: there is no account behind the app. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes this data.

If you use Share this day, the app creates an image of that day's timeline on your device and hands it only to the destination you explicitly pick. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to share it.

Permissions

• Notifications — to alert you when a task starts or ends, and for an optional morning and evening nudge. You can decline; the app still works.
• Exact alarms — so a task alert fires at the time you set rather than minutes later. Alarms are scheduled locally on your device.
• Run at startup — to restore your scheduled alerts after the device restarts.

The app does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or calendar.

Information collected automatically

Certain information may be collected automatically by the third-party advertising SDK used in the app. This may include:

• Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
• Your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID)
• App usage events such as session time and screens viewed
• The mobile operating system and device model you use

This information is processed by the advertising provider described below and is never linked to your tasks or notes.

Advertising

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, and the Advertising ID and the information above are collected and shared with Google (a third party) for that purpose. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown instead. You can reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads), and you can change your consent choice from the app's Settings screen.

Notifications

All reminders and task alerts are shown locally on your device using the Android notification system. No push notification service is used. You can turn them off per task, or turn off the daily nudges in the app's Settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because your plans exist only on your device, you are in direct control of them. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA in California), you may also have rights regarding data processed by advertising SDKs; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings described above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
