Hushome Privacy Policy

Hushome ("the app") is a minimalist home screen (launcher) that keeps distracting apps behind a hold-to-open square, provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). Hushome is a local-only app: it has no account system, no login, no server, and no cloud storage operated by us.

Your data stays on your device

Your list of essential apps, your hold time, your daily counts of skipped and opened impulses, and your settings are stored only on your device. We never upload, collect, sell, or share them, and we cannot recover them for you: there is no account behind the app. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes this data.

To work as a home screen, the app reads the list of apps installed on your device that can be launched, so it can show them and open the one you tap. This list is used only on your device and is never sent anywhere.

If you use Share this week, the app creates an image of your weekly count on your device and hands it only to the destination you explicitly pick.

Permissions

• Notifications — for an optional morning and evening note. You can decline; the app still works.
• Run at startup — to restore those scheduled notes after the device restarts.

The app does not use Accessibility services, usage-access (screen time) data, or notification access, and it does not block or monitor other apps. It does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or calendar.

Information collected automatically

Certain information may be collected automatically by the third-party advertising SDK used in the app. This may include:

• Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
• Your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID)
• App usage events such as session time and screens viewed
• The mobile operating system and device model you use

This information is processed by the advertising provider described below and is never linked to your app list or counts. Ads are shown only in the app's dashboard and settings screens, never on your home screen.

Advertising

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, and the Advertising ID and the information above are collected and shared with Google (a third party) for that purpose. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown instead. You can reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads), and you can change your consent choice from the app's Settings screen.

Notifications

All notes are shown locally on your device using the Android notification system. No push notification service is used. You can turn them off in the app's Settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because your data exists only on your device, you are in direct control of it. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA in California), you may also have rights regarding data processed by advertising SDKs; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings described above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
