Inkleaf Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-09-30

Inkleaf ("the app") is a private diary with a PIN and fingerprint lock, provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). You write daily entries with a mood, weather, photos and hand drawings. Inkleaf has no account system, no login and no server operated by us.

Data stored on your device

Your diary entries (date, title, text, mood, weather), the photos and drawings you attach, your lock settings (a hashed PIN, never the PIN itself), reminder time and app settings are stored locally on your device in the app's private storage. Photos you attach are copied into the app's private storage. The app itself does not send your diary to us, and we have no server to receive it.

There is no sign-up, account or login. Uninstalling the app deletes this data. Android's standard app backup may include it in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

Export and import

When you choose Export, the app writes a ZIP file (your entries as text plus attached images) to a location you pick with the system file picker. The file is not encrypted so that you can open it on any computer; keep it somewhere safe. Import reads a ZIP file you pick. The app does not upload these files anywhere.

Lock and permissions

The app hides its content from the recent-apps screen and asks for the PIN again when you come back after the lock timeout. Inkleaf does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts or phone access.

Advertising and information collected automatically

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. For more information see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Ads are never shown while you write, read an entry, draw or unlock the diary, and the content of your diary is never used to target ads.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Your diary exists only on your device, so you can edit, export or delete entries in the app at any time, and uninstalling the app removes them. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.
