Matchpad Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-09-30
Matchpad ("the app") is an offline tournament and league manager provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). You create leagues, group stages and knockout brackets, enter match results, and the app calculates standings, brackets and top scorers. Matchpad has no account system, no login and no server operated by us.
Data stored on your device
Your tournaments (names, formats, point rules), team and player names you type, match schedules, scores and scorers, and app settings are stored locally on your device in the app's private storage. The app itself does not send this data to us, and we have no server to receive it.
There is no sign-up, account or login. Uninstalling the app deletes this data. Android's standard app backup may include it in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.
Backup files and sharing
When you choose Export backup, the app writes a file to a location you pick with the system file picker; Restore reads a file you pick. When you share standings, a bracket or a result, the app creates an image and hands it to the app you choose through Android's share sheet. The app does not upload these files anywhere by itself.
Permissions
- Notifications — optional reminders on match days you schedule.
- Run at startup — to restore scheduled match reminders after the phone restarts.
- Internet / network state — used by the advertising SDK described below.
Matchpad does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts or phone access.
Advertising and information collected automatically
The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. For more information see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.
Ads are not shown while you create a tournament or enter a score, and your tournament data is never used to target ads.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Your tournaments exist only on your device, so you can edit, export or delete them in the app at any time, and uninstalling the app removes them. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.
