Loudi Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-09-04

Loudi ("the app") is a volume booster and equalizer provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). It raises the output level of whatever is already playing on your device, lets you shape the sound with an equalizer, bass and spatial controls, and keeps that setting applied while you move between apps. Loudi is deliberately designed as a local-only app: it has no account system, no login, no server, and no cloud storage operated by us.

The app never listens to you

This is the point people ask about most, so it comes first. Loudi does not request the microphone permission and cannot record audio. It does not analyse, capture, or transmit the sound playing on your device. What it does is attach standard Android audio effects — a loudness enhancer, an equalizer, a bass booster, a spatial effect and a limiter — to the device's audio output. Those effects run inside the Android system on your device. No audio ever leaves your phone.

Loudi also cannot see which app is playing. It applies to the device's output as a whole.

The app does not connect to the internet to do its job

Every feature — the boost dial, the equalizer, presets, profiles, the home screen widget, reminders — works with the device offline. The only network traffic the app produces comes from the advertising components described below.

Data stored on your device

Everything the app records — your boost level, equalizer band levels, bass and spatial strength, the sound profiles you save and their names, your theme choice, your notification preferences, and a counter used to decide when to ask for a rating — is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us. There is no sign-up, account, or login. Deleting the app deletes all of this data from your device. Android's standard app backup may include this data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

If you use the Share feature, the shared text is delivered only to the destination you explicitly choose (for example a messaging app), and its safekeeping is under your control.

Permissions the app asks for and why

The app does not request access to your microphone, location, contacts, camera, files, or the content of other apps.

Information collected automatically

When you use the app, certain information may be collected automatically by third-party SDKs used for advertising. This may include:

We do not receive this information in a form that identifies you, and we do not combine it with anything stored in the app.

Advertising

Loudi is free and supported by advertising. It uses Google AdMob, which may work with additional advertising partners (mediation networks) to fill ad space. These partners are independent controllers of the data they collect. Google's practices are described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

You can limit ad personalisation at any time from your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads, where you can reset or delete your advertising ID.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app shows a consent form on first launch, provided by Google's User Messaging Platform. If you decline, ads are still shown but are non-personalised. You can reopen that form at any time from Settings → Ad privacy settings inside the app.

Notifications

Notifications are scheduled and delivered locally by your device. The app has no server and does not use push messaging, so we cannot send you anything remotely. You can turn reminders off in Settings, or revoke the notification permission in Android settings, and the rest of the app continues to work.

What the app does not do

Hearing safety

Loudi can raise output well above your device's normal maximum. Listening at high volume for extended periods can damage your hearing, and the risk is greater with headphones. The app keeps a limiter running and marks the upper part of the dial as a caution range, but those are guides, not protection. Please use it at a level that is comfortable for you.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the advertising components, please contact us and we will work with the relevant partner to have it removed.

Your rights

Because the app stores no personal data on our side, there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf. Data held on your device is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage. For data held by advertising partners, please use the controls described in the Advertising section, or contact those partners directly.

Security

Data created by the app stays in the app's private storage on your device, protected by Android's application sandbox. Network requests made by the advertising components use encrypted connections.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of this page is updated and the revised policy is published here. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's store listing.
