How to calculate your lucky number from your date of birth

Short answer: add the digits of your birth year, month and day, then keep adding the digits of the result until one digit (1 to 9) is left. Numerology calls this your life path number.

1. Worked example: 14 August 1990

  • Year 1990 → 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19
  • Month 8 → 8
  • Day 14 → 1 + 4 = 5
  • Total 19 + 8 + 5 = 32 → 3 + 2 = 5

2. Lucky dates of the month

Reduce each date of the month the same way. Dates that land on your life path number are your lucky dates. For life path 5: the 5th, 14th and 23rd.

3. Daily lucky number vs. life path number

Your life path number never changes. A daily lucky number mixes your birthday with today's date, so it changes once a day.

4. Keep it fun

Numerology is entertainment. It cannot predict draws or results.

FAQ

Are lucky numbers accurate?

Numerology is a tradition, not a prediction method. Treat the number as a fun daily cue, not a forecast.

Can I get the next day's lucky number?

A date-based number for tomorrow is only shown when tomorrow arrives, so each day has its own card.

What do I do with 11, 22 or 33?

Some numerologists keep these "master numbers" unreduced. Simpler systems, like the one below, keep adding until one digit is left.
