Lungday Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-09-28
Lungday ("the app") is a quit smoking tracker. It counts your smoke-free time, money saved and cigarettes not smoked, shows health milestones and badges, and helps you ride out cravings with a breathing timer. It is provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). Lungday has no account system, no login and no server or cloud storage operated by us.
Data stored on your device
Your quit date, daily cigarette count, pack price, past attempts and the cravings you log are kept only on your device. The app itself does not upload this information to us.
If you use "Save a backup file", the app writes a file to the location you choose with Android's file picker; where that file goes afterwards is up to you. If you share your progress, the text is passed to the app you choose through Android's share sheet; what happens next is governed by that app. Uninstalling the app deletes the app's private data.
Permissions
- Notifications — for the optional morning and evening progress notes. You can decline and grant it later in device settings.
- Run at startup — so notes are re-scheduled after your phone restarts.
- Internet / network state — used by the advertising SDK described below.
Lungday does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage or phone permissions.
Information collected automatically by advertising
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect and share with Google, as a third party, the following for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention:
- Device or other identifiers, such as the Advertising ID
- Approximate location derived from your IP address
- App interactions (for example ad impressions and clicks, session activity)
- Crash logs and diagnostics
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app shows a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized ads are used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Health information
Health milestones in the app are general information based on widely published quit-smoking timelines. They are not medical advice. The app does not collect health data from sensors or other apps.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
Uninstalling the app removes its data on your device. Because we hold no data about you on our side, there is nothing for us to delete; ad-related choices are available through the consent form and your device's ad settings.
