Monthly flea and heartworm reminders that stop repeating
Short answer: set one monthly reminder per product per pet, on the day the dose is due. When you give it, mark it done so that reminder stops, and let the next month's dose be created from there.
1. List each product separately
- Heartworm preventive, flea and tick treatment and dewormer often run on different schedules.
- Some combine two, so one entry is enough. Check the label or ask your vet.
2. Pick the right repeat
Most are monthly. Some last 8 or 12 weeks. Use an "every N days" repeat when monthly does not fit.
3. One alert, then quiet
The common complaint is reminders that keep firing after the pill is given. A done button that stops that reminder fixes it.
4. Several pets, one list
When the dog and two cats are due the same week, one combined list shows who still needs a dose.
Doing it with Pawdue

FAQ
Why do my medication reminders keep repeating?
Many apps repeat until you dismiss each alert. Pick a reminder you can mark done, so it stops for that dose.
What if I give the dose a few days late?
Log the actual date. Count the next dose from the schedule your vet recommends.
Can I track as-needed medicine too?
Yes. Log it on the days you give it instead of setting a fixed schedule.
