How to cram for the Korean driver's license written test in one day

Short answer: Take one mock test to find your level, study by question type, review every mistake, then repeat mock tests until you score above the pass line (60 for Class 2, 70 for Class 1) several times in a row. Many test takers pass after one to five days of this.

A one-day plan

  1. Morning: one full mock test. 40 questions in 40 minutes. Your first score shows how far you are from the pass line.
  2. Read every explanation you got wrong. The explanation teaches the rule, and the same rule appears in other questions.
  3. Afternoon: road signs, then photo and illustration questions. These are pattern-based and quick to learn once you see them a few times.
  4. Evening: two or three more mock tests. After each one, clear your mistake notes.
  5. Exam morning: mistake notes only. Don't start new material.

When are you ready?

When your last few mock scores are all above the pass line with some margin. A single lucky score is not enough.
