- Can the alarm start quietly and get louder?
- Yes. Every alarm has a fade-in length of 30 seconds, 1, 3 or 5 minutes, then it stays at full volume until you dismiss it.
- Will it still ring if my phone is locked or restarted?
- Yes. Softrise uses Android's exact alarm clock, shows a full-screen alarm over the lock screen and re-schedules alarms after a restart. Keep notifications allowed so the alarm screen can appear.
- How do I turn off just tomorrow's alarm?
- Tap Skip next on the alarm or the widget. Only the next ring is skipped; the repeat stays on.
- Can I wake up to nature sounds?
- Yes. Choose birdsong, rain, waves, chimes, singing bowl or harp, or your phone's default alarm sound.
- What time should I go to bed?
- The Bedtime tab counts back from your next alarm in 90-minute sleep cycles plus about 15 minutes to fall asleep.
- Do I need an account or internet?
- No. There is no sign-up and alarms work offline. Ads need a connection but never appear on the ringing screen.
- Is there a subscription?
- No. Softrise has no subscription or paywall. It is supported by ads.
- Can I turn snooze off?
- Yes. Set snooze to off, or limit how many times you can snooze.
