Sololine Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-09-05
Sololine ("the app") is a private, social-media-style memo app provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). Sololine is deliberately designed as a local-only app: it has no account system, no login, no server, and no cloud storage operated by us. Your posts, photos, profile and settings never leave your phone unless you explicitly export or share them.
Data stored on your device
Your posts (text, dates, tags, likes), the photos you attach, your profile (name, handle, bio, avatar, follower numbers you type in), theme, text size, reminder and display settings are stored only on your device in the app's private storage and are never transmitted to us. Photos you attach are copied into the app's private folder; the originals in your gallery are not modified.
There is no sign-up, account or login. Uninstalling the app deletes all of this data. Android's standard app backup may include this data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.
Backup, export and sharing
- Back up / Restore / Export as text write to or read from a file location you choose through Android's file picker. We never receive these files.
- Share (a post as an image, or the app link) hands the content only to the destination app you explicitly pick (for example a messaging app). Nothing is sent to us.
Permissions
- Photos (system photo picker) — used only when you attach a photo to a post or set an avatar. The app uses Android's photo picker, which grants access to the individual photos you select and nothing else.
- Notifications — used for optional daily reminders you can enable in Settings. Reminders are scheduled and shown locally; no push notification service is used.
No location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage-wide permission is requested.
Information collected automatically
When you use the app, certain information may be collected automatically by third-party SDKs used for advertising. This may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID)
- App usage events such as session time and screens viewed
- The mobile operating system and device model you use
This information is processed by the advertising provider described below and is not linked by us to your posts, which never leave your device.
Advertising
The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob and its partners may access your device's Advertising ID and the information described above. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown instead. You can reset or limit ad personalization at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads), and you can change your consent choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings").
Ads are never shown on the writing screen, and the content of your posts is never used to target ads.
For more information on how Google uses data when you use partners' apps, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Notifications and reminders
Optional reminders are scheduled and shown locally on your device. Reminder content is generic (for example, an invitation to write today) and may include the number of posts you wrote today; it never includes the text of your posts. Reminders can be turned off at any time in Settings.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app displays ads configured through Google AdMob in accordance with Google's policies.
Your rights
Because your data exists only on your device, you are in direct control of it: you can edit or delete any post in the app at any time, and uninstalling the app removes everything. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA in California), you may also have rights regarding data processed by advertising SDKs; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings described above.
Security
Your data never leaves your device, which removes the most common exposure paths (server breaches, account leaks). We recommend protecting your device with a screen lock. Backup files you export are unencrypted; keep them somewhere private.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
