SunTape Privacy Policy

SunTape ("the app") is a music player that plays the audio files already stored on your phone with a cassette-tape look. It is provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). SunTape has no account system, no login, no streaming service and no server or cloud storage operated by us.

Data stored on your device

The app reads the list of audio files on your device (title, artist, album, folder and duration) from Android's media library so it can show and play them. This list, your chosen tape color, the last song played and app preferences are kept only on your device. The app itself does not upload your music files or your music library to us or anywhere else.

When you share a "now playing" card, the image and text are passed to the app you choose through Android's share sheet; what happens next is governed by that app. Uninstalling the app deletes the app's private data. Your music files are never modified or deleted.

Permissions

• Music and audio (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / storage on older Android) — to list and play the audio files on your device. SunTape does not request access to your photos or videos.
• Foreground service (media playback) — so music keeps playing with the screen off, with controls in the notification, on the lock screen and from Bluetooth or car buttons.
• Notifications — for the playback controls and optional listening reminders. You can decline and grant it later in device settings.
• Run at startup — so reminders are re-scheduled after your phone restarts.
• Internet / network state — used by the advertising SDK described below.

SunTape does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or phone permissions.

Information collected automatically by advertising

The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect and share with Google, as a third party, the following for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention:

• Device or other identifiers, such as the Advertising ID
• Approximate location derived from your IP address
• App interactions (for example ad impressions and clicks, session activity)
• Crash logs and diagnostics

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app shows a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized ads are used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

Uninstalling the app removes its data on your device. Because we hold no data about you on our side, there is nothing for us to delete; ad-related choices are available through the consent form and your device's ad settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
