How to cancel a Google Play subscription on Android
Short answer: Play Store → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → pick the subscription → Cancel subscription. You keep access until the paid period ends.
Step by step
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile picture at the top right.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Choose the subscription and tap Cancel subscription, then follow the prompts.
Uninstalling is not cancelling
Deleting the app does not stop the charges. Always cancel in Google Play (or on the website if you subscribed there).
Subscribed on the web?
If it isn't listed in Google Play, you paid on the service's website or through another store. Cancel from your account page there.
Doing it with Trimsub
Each subscription in Trimsub has a cancel button that opens the Google Play subscriptions screen or the service's cancel page you saved. Mark it cancelled afterwards and Trimsub adds it to your yearly savings.
FAQ
Does uninstalling the app cancel the subscription?
No. You keep being charged until you cancel in Google Play or on the service's website.
Do I lose access right away when I cancel?
No. You can use it until the end of the period you already paid for.
Where do I cancel a subscription I paid for on the website?
On the service's own account page, not in Google Play. Trimsub can store and open that cancel page for you.
