How to find all the subscriptions you're paying for

Short answer: check four places — Google Play subscriptions, your card or bank statement for the last 3 months, your email for "receipt" or "renewal", and the apps installed on your phone. Put everything you find in one list with its price and next billing date.

1. Google Play

Open the Play Store, tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Everything billed through Google is listed here with its renewal date.

2. Card and bank statements

Scan the last three months for charges that repeat on the same day each month. Annual renewals hide well, so also look 12 months back for one-off amounts that recur yearly.

3. Email receipts

Search your inbox for "receipt", "renewal", "your subscription" and "trial". Services billed on the web (not through an app store) show up here.

4. Apps on your phone

Most paid services have an app installed. Going through your app drawer reminds you of streaming, music, cloud and fitness apps you might be paying for.

Keep the list with Trimsub

Trimsub shows the subscription apps installed on your phone — tick the ones you pay for and they are added. Add web-only services like broadband or a gym by hand. There is no cap on how many you track, and optional Usage access flags the apps you haven't opened in 30+ days.

FAQ

Can an app find my subscriptions automatically?

Apps that read your bank or email can, but they need access to your accounts. Trimsub lists the subscription apps installed on your phone instead, so you tick them without sharing any login.

What are the small charges I don't recognise?

Usually app-store subscriptions, cloud storage or a forgotten free trial. Search the merchant name on your statement and check Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.

How often should I review my subscriptions?

Once every few months, and whenever a free trial starts. A reminder app removes the need to remember.
