Vitajot Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-09-10

Vitajot ("the app") is a blood pressure and blood glucose log provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). Vitajot is deliberately designed as a local-only app: it has no account system, no login, no server, and no cloud storage operated by us. Your health readings never leave your phone.

What Vitajot is, and what it is not

Vitajot does not measure anything. It has no camera-based measurement, no sensor reading, and no connection to a monitor or meter. Every number in the app is one you typed in yourself after taking a reading with your own blood pressure monitor or glucose meter.

Vitajot is not a medical device. The range labels it shows (for example "Normal" or "Hypertension stage 1") are reference classifications based on published adult guidelines, shown next to the range they come from. They are not a diagnosis, not medical advice, and not a substitute for a health professional.

Data stored on your device

Everything you enter — systolic and diastolic values, pulse, blood glucose, the date and time of each reading, the tags you attach (for example "on waking" or "before medication"), and any notes you write — is stored only on your device in the app's private storage. We never receive it, and we cannot see it.

The app has no sign-up, account or login, and it never transmits your readings anywhere. Uninstalling the app deletes all of this data. Android's standard app backup may include this data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

Exporting, sharing and restoring your data

Vitajot can do three things with your readings at your explicit request:

These files are created on your device and are never uploaded anywhere by us. Once a file leaves the app, it is under your control — treat it like any other document containing your health information, and be deliberate about which app you share it with.

Permissions

Vitajot asks for one runtime permission:

The app also declares the following install-time permissions:

Vitajot does not request camera, phone, contacts, location, microphone, SMS, notification-listener, body-sensor, activity-recognition, storage, or display-over-other-apps permissions. It does not connect to Health Connect, Google Fit, or any other health platform.

Information collected automatically

When you use the app, certain information may be collected automatically by third-party SDKs used for advertising. This may include:

This information is processed by the advertising provider described below. None of your health data is included in it. Your readings, tags and notes are never sent to the advertising SDK, to us, or to anyone else.

Advertising

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob and its partners may access your device's Advertising ID and the information described above; this data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising and marketing purposes. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown instead. You can reset or limit ad personalization at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads), and you can change your consent choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings").

Ads never sit between you and your readings: the screens where you type a reading in carry no banner at all, the summary you send to your doctor carries none, and the home screen widget shows your latest reading with no ad at any point.

Notifications and reminders

The optional morning and evening reminders are created and scheduled locally on your device. No push notification service is used, and we send you nothing from a server. The reminder text never contains your readings. Reminders can be turned off at any time in the app's Settings, and quiet hours are on by default.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app displays ads configured through Google AdMob in accordance with Google's policies.

Your rights

Because your data exists only on your device, you are in direct control of it: you can delete any single reading, delete every reading at once from Settings, export everything to a file you keep, and uninstalling the app removes it all. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA in California), you may also have rights regarding data processed by advertising SDKs; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings described above.

Because we hold no data about you, we cannot delete data on your behalf — there is nothing on our side to delete.

Security

Your readings never leave your device, which removes the most common exposure paths (server breaches, account leaks). We recommend protecting your device with a screen lock, and keeping any exported backup or shared summary somewhere you consider safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
