Wagedays Privacy Policy

Wagedays ("the app") is a work-day and pay calendar provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). It lets you tap the days you worked, keep a separate color and day rate for each work site, set the day your pay period starts, mark days as paid, and see totals and an estimated deduction for each pay period. Wagedays is deliberately designed as a local-only app: it has no account system, no login, no server, and no cloud storage operated by us.

Data stored on your device

Everything you enter into the app — site names, day rates, logged days and units, extra pay, paid status, memos, pay-period and deduction settings, and app preferences — is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us. We consider pay records private, and this is exactly why the app never uploads them anywhere. There is no sign-up, account, or login. Deleting the app deletes all of this data from your device.

Android's standard app backup may include this data in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

If you use Save backup file or Export CSV, the app writes a file to the location you choose on your device or in a storage provider you select; that file is under your control. Restore from backup file reads only the file you pick. If you use Share, the summary text is delivered only to the destination you explicitly choose (for example a messaging app). The app requests no storage permission for any of this.

Information collected automatically

When you use the app, certain information may be collected automatically by third-party SDKs used for advertising. This may include:

This information is processed by the advertising provider described below and is not linked by us to your work or pay records, which never leave your device. Advertising requests do not include your site names, amounts, or any other records.

Advertising

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, and the Advertising ID and the information above are shared with Google for that purpose. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown instead. You can reset or limit ad personalization at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads), and you can change your consent choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings").

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled and shown locally on your device using the Android alarm and notification systems. No push notification service is used, and reminder content is not sent to any server. Notifications are optional; the app works fully if you decline them.

Pay and tax disclaimer

Totals and the estimated deduction are simple calculations based on the numbers and the percentage you enter. They are not tax, legal, or payroll advice and may differ from your actual pay slip.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because your records exist only on your device, you are in direct control of them: you can view, edit, or delete them in the app at any time, and uninstalling the app removes them completely. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA in California), you may also have rights regarding data processed by advertising SDKs; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings described above.

Security

Your records never leave your device, which removes the most common exposure paths (server breaches, account leaks). We recommend protecting your device with a screen lock.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
