Wakedrill Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-09-30

Wakedrill ("the app") is a mission alarm clock provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"): to turn an alarm off you complete a short mission such as a math problem, shaking the phone, a memory pattern, typing a sentence or walking a few steps. Wakedrill has no account system, no login and no server operated by us.

Data stored on your device

Your alarms (time, days, label, mission and difficulty, sound, volume, snooze, vibration and re-sleep check settings), your wake-up history (when you dismissed an alarm, how long it took and your streak) and your app settings are stored locally on your device in the app's private storage. The app itself does not send this data to us, and we have no server to receive it.

There is no sign-up, account or login. Uninstalling the app deletes this data. Android's standard app backup may include it in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

Sensors and permissions

Wakedrill does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, phone, storage, display-over-other-apps or accessibility access.

Advertising and information collected automatically

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may collect and share with Google information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions (for example ad views and taps), crash logs and diagnostics. This data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes. For more information see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings") and reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Ads are never shown on the ringing screen, the mission screen or the re-sleep check, and the content of your alarms is not used to target ads.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Your alarms and history exist only on your device, so you can edit or delete them in the app at any time, and uninstalling the app removes them. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the advertising SDK; you can exercise ad-related choices through the consent form and your device's ad settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
