Walkmint Privacy Policy

Walkmint ("the app") is a step counter provided by DDJ A1 ("we", "us"). Walkmint is a local-only app: it has no account system, no login, no server, and no cloud storage operated by us. Your steps and body information are never transmitted to us.

Data stored on your device

The app counts steps using your phone's built-in step sensor and stores the following only on your device, in the app's private storage:

• Daily and hourly step counts, and values calculated from them (distance, calories, active time, streaks)
• Your daily step goal
• Optional body information you enter to improve calculations: height, weight and stride length
• App settings (units, theme, reminder times)

We never receive this data and cannot see it. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. Android's standard app backup may include it in your own Google account backup if you have device backup enabled; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

This fitness data is not used for advertising and is never shared with the advertising SDK, with us, or with anyone else.

Permissions

• Physical activity (activity recognition) — required to read your phone's step sensor. If you decline, the app cannot count steps, but you can still browse existing records.
• Notifications — optional, for goal and daily reminders. Everything else works if you decline.
• Run at startup — so step tracking and reminders resume after you restart your phone.
• Internet / network state / advertising ID — used only by the advertising SDK described below. Step counting works fully offline.

Walkmint does not request location, camera, contacts, microphone, phone, SMS, calendar or storage permissions.

Sharing

When you tap share, the app creates an image or text summary of your steps on your device and hands it to the app you choose in Android's share sheet. Nothing is sent unless you choose to share.

Information collected automatically

Third-party advertising SDKs may automatically collect:

• Your device's IP address
• Your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID)
• App usage events such as session time and screens viewed
• Operating system and device model

Advertising

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob and its partners may access your device's Advertising ID and the information above; this data is shared with Google as a third party for advertising purposes. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other regions where required, the app presents a consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized advertising data is used; if you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. You can reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads) and change your consent choice from the app's Settings screen ("Ad privacy settings").

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No push notification service is used. You can turn them off at any time in Settings.

Health information notice

Walkmint provides estimates for general wellness purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Your data exists only on your device, so you are in direct control: you can reset records in the app or uninstall it to remove everything. Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) you may have rights regarding data processed by advertising SDKs, which you can exercise through the consent form and your device's ad settings. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing on our side to delete.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
