Every feature free

No weekly plan, no free trial that turns into a charge, no sign-up. Dial, HUD, alerts and trips all work without paying.

Big digital speed + dial

A large number you can read at a glance, with an analog dial and amber needle. Trip distance, top and average speed underneath.

HUD mirror mode

Flip the display left-to-right and lay the phone under the windshield. Big numbers reflect on the glass, the screen stays on and no ads show.

Speed limit alert

Set your own limit. Go over it and Gaugely warns you with sound, vibration and a red screen.

No pop-ups while moving

Full-screen ads and review requests are blocked while you move faster than 5 km/h. They only appear when you have stopped.

Trip records that save

Long-press to start or stop, so a stray tap never ends a trip. Each trip keeps distance, time, top and average speed.

Zoomable route sketch

Pinch to zoom the route of any past trip and see its speed graph. Share a trip card as an image.

mph or km/h, offline

Pick your unit and dial range. Speed comes from your phone's GPS, so no internet or account is needed.

FAQ

Do I need a subscription for a speedometer app?
No. Gaugely has no subscription and no paid tier. It is supported by ads, which never pop up while you are moving.
Why does my GPS speedometer literally say zero?
GPS needs a clear view of the sky. Indoors, in tunnels or deep inside a train it may lose the signal and show 0. Move near a window and give it a few seconds to lock on.
Does it work on a train or a bullet train?
Yes, as long as the phone can see GPS satellites, usually next to a window. Set the dial range to 300 for high-speed trains.
Can I use my phone as a HUD at night?
Yes. Turn on HUD mode, place the phone flat under the windshield and the mirrored numbers reflect on the glass.
Will pop-ups appear while I drive?
No. Full-screen ads and review prompts are skipped while you move faster than 5 km/h.
Does it know the speed limit of the road?
No. That needs an online road database. You set your own limit, and Gaugely alerts you when you go over it.
Can my family see the screen safely?
Yes. Ads are limited to a general-audience (G) rating, and the HUD screen shows no ads at all.
Does it need internet or an account?
No. Speed comes from GPS, trips are saved on your phone, and there is no sign-up.
