How to Hide Photos on Android Without a Subscription
Most people hide photos for simple reasons: a surprise gift, medical documents, or pictures you would rather not show when handing your phone to someone. The hard part is not hiding them. It is getting them back later without an account problem or a paywall.
What to check before choosing a vault app
- Is unhiding free? Some apps let you hide for free, then ask for a subscription to restore more than a few photos.
- Does it need an account? An email login can fail on a new phone. A local PIN cannot be locked out by a server.
- Where do restored photos go? Good apps return them to the original folder, not a new album in random order.
- What happens on uninstall? If hidden files live inside the app, uninstalling deletes them. The app should say so clearly.
Step by step with Hidefolio
- Open Hidefolio and allow access to photos and videos.
- Long-press a photo, tap more photos to select them, then tap Hide.
