- I moved my photos into a vault app and now it wants me to pay to get them back. Does Hidefolio do that?
- No. Unhide and Unhide all are always free, with no subscription and no limit on how many photos you can bring back.
- If I uninstall the app, will my hidden photos come back to the gallery?
- No. Hidden photos are stored inside the app on your phone, so uninstalling deletes them. Tap Unhide all first. Hidefolio shows this reminder when you open the private folder.
- Where do unhidden photos go?
- Back to the folder they came from, such as DCIM/Camera or Pictures/Screenshots, so they are not scattered in a random order.
- Can I hide videos and whole albums?
- Yes. Select photos and videos together, or long-press an album to hide everything in it.
- I forgot my PIN. Are my photos lost?
- If your phone has a screen lock, tap "Forgot PIN" and confirm with your screen lock or fingerprint to set a new PIN.
- Do I need an email or an account?
- No. There is no sign-up, no email code and no security question.
- Are my photos uploaded to a server?
- No. Nothing is uploaded. Hidefolio has no cloud and no server.
- How do I move hidden photos to a new phone?
- Unhide all on the old phone, move your gallery the usual way, then hide them again on the new phone.
