How to Move Hidden Photos to a New Phone (Android)
Phone transfer tools copy your gallery, but they usually skip files stored inside apps. Photos hidden in a local vault app will not follow you unless you bring them out first.
The safe order
- On the old phone, open the vault app and unhide everything. In Hidefolio, open Private and tap Unhide all. Photos return to their original folders.
- Check the gallery on the old phone and confirm the count looks right.
- Move your photos the way you normally do: your phone maker's transfer app, a USB cable, or a backup service.
- On the new phone, install Hidefolio, create a new PIN, select the photos again and tap Hide.
- Only after checking the new phone, delete the photos or reset the old phone.
Common mistakes
- Resetting the old phone before unhiding.
- Assuming a vault login moves photos, when the app only stores them locally.
- Unhiding into one mixed album and losing the original order. Hidefolio restores to the original folder to avoid this.
