How to Put Two Photos Side by Side on Android

A side-by-side image is the simplest way to show a before and after, compare two products, or put two moments next to each other. You only need to join two photos horizontally, no collage template required.

Step by step

  1. Select the left photo first, then the right one. The order you pick is the order they appear.
  2. Choose side by side.
  3. If the photos have different heights, choose match height so the edges line up. Keep original sizes if you want each photo untouched.
  4. Add a gap and a border if you want a visible divider. White or black suits most photos; clear works for PNG with transparency.
  5. Save as JPG for camera photos, or PNG for screenshots.

Tips for a good comparison

Why not a collage app?

Collage templates force a frame ratio, so parts of your photos get cropped. Joining edge to edge keeps every pixel of both photos.

Doing it with Pixjoin

Pixjoin joins photos side by side, vertically or in a grid at original resolution, with match height, gap and border options, and saves to Pictures/Pixjoin as PNG or JPG. It does not crop or blend your photos, and nothing is uploaded.
