FAQ
- Does Truekit need an account or internet?
- No. There is no sign-up and no login, and every tool works offline. Nothing you measure is sent anywhere.
- Why does the flashlight not ask for camera permission?
- Android lets an app control the LED torch directly without the camera permission. Many flashlight apps still ask for it; Truekit doesn't.
- Does the compass need location?
- No. Magnetic north works from the phone's sensors alone. If you want true north, one tap adds the local declination using your approximate location, and you can decline.
- How accurate is the ruler?
- Phones report their screen density with a few percent of error, so Truekit lets you calibrate the ruler against a standard bank card. After that the ruler matches real size.
- Will the timer stop when I leave the app?
- No. The timer is tracked by the clock and the alert is scheduled with the system alarm, so it fires even if the app is closed.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Truekit is free and supported by a few ads that stay out of the measuring area. There is no subscription.
