FAQ
- Can other people read my letters?
- No. Herelet has no account and no server for your letters. They stay on your phone and only you can read them.
- What if I can't get back to the place?
- Choose "On a date" instead, or "Open now". You can also delete a sealed letter anytime.
- Why didn't my letter open when I arrived?
- Arrival reminders need location set to "Allow all the time" and Herelet excluded from battery optimization. Without that, letters open the next time you open the app nearby.
- Do I have to name each pin?
- No. Tap "Leave a letter here" and write. A title is optional.
- Does it drain my battery?
- Herelet does not track your route. Arrival reminders use Android geofences, which wake the app only near your letters.
- What happens when I change phones?
- Export a backup file in Settings and import it on the new phone. Photos are included.
- Can I pin a letter somewhere I'm not standing?
- Yes. Move the pin on the map before saving.
- Does it work offline?
- Writing and reading work offline. The map background needs a connection to load.
