Your music, on summer tape. No playlist needed.
SunTape is an offline music player for the songs already on your phone. Tap a song, album, artist or folder and the whole thing starts playing on a cassette whose reels turn with the music. No streaming, no account, and only one permission: music and audio.

Tap and it plays
Every row in Songs, Albums, Artists and Folders starts playback in one tap. No playlist to build first.
A cassette that moves
The reels turn while music plays and the tape winds from one reel to the other as the song goes on.
Tape color that stays
Pick one of six summer label colors. It does not change on you song after song.
Lock screen and Bluetooth
Standard media controls: lock screen, notification, earbuds and car buttons show the right title.
Home screen widget
Play, pause and skip from a cassette widget without opening the app.
Search and shuffle all
Find any song, artist or album, or shuffle your whole library in one tap.
Music only
Clips under 30 seconds, like ringtones and voice notes, are hidden from your library.
One permission, offline
Audio access only. SunTape never asks for your photos or videos and needs no internet to play.
FAQ
- Do I have to create a playlist before I can listen?
- No. Tap any album, artist or folder and SunTape plays all of it. Tap a song in Songs and it plays from there through the list.
- Can I play a folder directly?
- Yes. The Folders tab lists every folder that has music. Tap one and it plays.
- Does it stream music?
- No. SunTape plays audio files already on your phone. It works offline.
- Why doesn't my car or Bluetooth button work in other players?
- Some players don't register a standard media session. SunTape uses Android's media session, so play, pause, next and previous work from earbuds, cars and the lock screen.
- Why does it ask for access to music?
- To list and play your audio files. It does not ask for photos or videos.
- Does the tape look change every song?
- Only if you want it to. The tape color you pick stays until you change it.
- Which formats are supported?
- Anything your phone can play, including MP3, M4A/AAC, FLAC, OGG and WAV.
- Is there a widget?
- Yes, a cassette widget with play/pause and next. It shows whether music is playing or paused.
